NPCs often approach the player and force their dialogue upon him/her, because this is the way to trigger a relevant quest. Adopted children also force dialogue, asking for presents, for example. This happens to all of my characters who have adopted kids: the moment they enter their house, the little ones run up to them and the dialogue starts. _________________ In between the lines there's a lot of obscurity. I'm not inclined to resign to maturity. If it's alright, then you're all wrong. But why bounce around to the same damn song? You'd rather run when you can't crawl...

I forgot to mention that there is no such event occurring. There is no special dialogue related to a quest, and what is said by the NPC, as well as my character's dialogue options, are as if I had initiated conversation with them. If I exit, then walk away, and then again walk within a certain distance of the NPC, they force dialogue again. Sometimes, I don't even have to walk away - dialogue will start again before I get the chance to leave.

As far as I know the only way to stop it is to back away fast enough, and once you're far enough they stop.

Well, I was kind of hoping for a fix for the long-term, not just a temporary workaround to be applied each time it happens.

But for me, when i ran away, they stalked me. (all of the Companions started following me)

I tried creating a character of the opposite sex, sending her to a different home after adopting her, etc., and I also tried to see if maybe triggering an event which would change her ai (such as playing a game with her) would make the problem stop. Nothing seems to work; although, now that I think of it, I have yet to change the order in which my character adopts urchins (I always adopt Lucia first, because she's the first I encounter); perhaps that could fix it? I also have a mod, called "Hearthfire Multiple Adoptions," which allows me to adopt up to six children, so maybe that's bugging her scripts. I have yet to investigate whether or not Brother Verulus's bug is persisting.

Very rarely will I have any bounty at all, and in these cases, I don't.
