What to wear on an Emerald river cruise in Europe? ›

On-Board Dress Code

Smart casual is usually all that's required, both in the day and the evening – the emphasis is definitely on feeling comfortable.

During the day, dress casually and comfortably for your daily activities. For the evening co*cktail hour and dinner, men may want to kick it up a notch with a jacket and/or collared shirt, and long trousers. For women, a top and slacks or casual dress is appropriate.

For evenings, while there are no formal nights, the recommended on board dress code is elegant casual for most restaurants. Suggested attire for women includes a dress, skirt or trousers with a sweater or blouse, and for men, trousers and a collared shirt. A tie and jacket are optional, but not required.
